Ritual

The song *Ritual*, with its duration of 4 minutes and 4 seconds, is taken from the album *Uno*, the sixth studio work by La Ley, released on February 21, 2000. This album marked a turning point for the Chilean band, being the first after the departure of Rodrigo Aboitiz and Luciano Rojas. For the recording, the group consolidated as a trio, with the collaboration of Archie Frugone for the bass lines.

Musically, *Uno* distanced itself from the darker, industrial-tinged sounds of *Vértigo*, as well as the gothic style with grunge influences of *Invisible*. Instead, the band explored a more direct Alternative Rock sound, reducing ambient and experimental elements. After the recording, J.C. Cumplido, who had been a touring bassist, returned to accompany La Ley in their performances until 2001, being later replaced by Archie Frugone, who remained with the band.
