The story behind
Remember the Feeling, according to DoReSol
The song Remember the Feeling by Chicago brings us back to a very particular stage of the band, marked by a polished sound and resounding commercial success. This track, with a duration of 4:30, was part of the album Chicago 17, released in May 1984. It was a key album for the band, being the second under the Full Moon/Warner Bros. Records label and the last to feature the participation of original bassist and vocalist, Peter Cetera. The production work was handled by David Foster, who also served as arranger, while the recording engineering and part of the mixing were carried out by Humberto Gatica.
Chicago 17 became Chicago's best-selling album to date, surpassing 6.1 million copies in markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan. Four singles were released from this work, all of which reached the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. The visual impact of the music videos for songs like Stay the Night, You're the Inspiration, and Hard Habit to Break on MTV was fundamental for Chicago 17 to achieve six-time platinum certification in the United States. In 1985, the album was recognized with three Grammy Awards. The band, formed in 1967 in the city that gives it its name, consolidated itself as one of the most representative Big Band rock groups, maintaining a relatively stable lineup throughout its extensive career.
