Nowhere Fast

The raw energy and experimentation that defined Incubus in their early days were channeled in a particular way into the creation of Make Yourself. This album, released in October 1999, marked a turning point, being the first to feature Chris Kilmore on turntables, who joined the band in February 1998, replacing DJ Lyfe. The compositions for this work emerged after an intense tour that followed their previous album, S.C.I.E.N.C.E., a record that already demonstrated a bold fusion of metal, jazz, and electronic music. The recording of Make Yourself benefited from the mixing expertise of Scott Litt and Rick Will, with the band itself and Scott Litt as producers.

Make Yourself is an album that resonated strongly, achieving double platinum certification. It spawned singles such as "Pardon Me", "Stellar", and "Drive", all of which reached the top positions on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart. In fact, "Drive" not only topped that list but also became the band's only song to date to enter the Billboard Hot 100, reaching ninth place.
