The story behind
The melody of Nosotros evokes an intimacy that feels woven with the nostalgia of past times. The choice of this piece for the album Segundo romance in 1994 was not accidental; it delved into a repertoire of Latin ballads spanning from 1934 to 1993, seeking to revive classics with a fresh interpretation. The recording process took place in mid-1994 at the Record Plant studios in Los Angeles, California, a space that witnessed the birth of this work.
In the production of Segundo romance, in addition to Luis Miguel himself, figures such as Juan Carlos Calderón, Kiko Cibrian, and Armando Manzanero participated, who had already collaborated on the 1991 album Romance. This album, which became the continuation of that success, featured eleven reinterpretations of ballads, and Nosotros is one of them. After its release on August 30, 1994, under the Warner Music Group Latina label, the singer embarked on a tour through the United States and Latin America to promote these new versions.
