Jowell & Randy released «Loco» as their first single from their debut album, El Momento, which came out in February 2010. The duet version with Wisin & Yandel arrived a bit later, in June of the same year. The song was in the reggaeton genre, a style that the Puerto Ricans dominated strongly at that time.

The story behind
Jowell & Randy released "Loco" as the first single from their album *El Momento*, released in February 2010. The song was recorded in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and the video was filmed on a yacht sailing through the Caribbean Sea. The director was Ulysses Terrero, brother of Jessy Terrero, who had previously worked with Wisin and Yandel.
The remix of the song, along with Wisin and Yandel, was released in June 2010. It premiered on a radio program and on the internet, and then was performed at the Premios Juventud. At that event, Wisin and Yandel also performed "Irresistible", with a dance choreography by the dancers of *Step Up 3D* behind them.
