The story behind
La mujer que no soñé, according to DoReSol
The song *La mujer que no soñé* has a duration of 3 minutes and 1 second. Although it is not one of the most widely distributed songs by Ricardo Arjona, the Guatemalan singer-songwriter included this piece in his third album, titled Del otro lado del sol, released in 1991. What is interesting about this work is that, despite not having achieved great notoriety at the time, many of its compositions were revisited and reissued later in other projects by the artist, giving them new life and reach.
Del otro lado del sol was the third studio album by Ricardo Arjona Morales, born in Jocotenango, Guatemala. Before dedicating himself entirely to music, Arjona had a phase as a basketball player and also worked as a teacher. Throughout his career, he has explored a variety of styles ranging from ballads to Latin pop, including rock, pop rock, and even fusions with Cuban, Tejano, Norteño music, and African-American rhythms. His lyrics are characterized by addressing diverse themes, including love, but also social issues such as racism, immigration, religion, machismo, and prostitution, among others. By 2011, Arjona had already released thirteen studio albums, one live album, nine compilations, and forty-three singles. Regarding his chart impact, four of his albums reached the top spot on the Billboard Top Latin Albums in the United States, and ten reached the summit in Argentina.
