This track is part of Luis Miguel's second studio album, titled Directo al corazón, which was released in 1982 by EMI Capitol Mexico. His father, Luisito Rey, was once again in charge of production. In some reissues of this album, especially on CD format, songs from the previous work were included and the title was changed to Un sol directo al corazón, with a different cover image. For the US market, the Odeon label released the album under the name Un sol, maintaining the content and order of the songs from the Mexican version.
Luis Miguel Gallego Basteri was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1970. He is an artist recognized in Hispanic America for his versatility, covering genres such as pop, funk, jazz, bolero, and romantic ballads. He has been awarded five Grammy Awards and four Latin Grammy Awards.
