The story behind
The xx started recording "Intro" in a London studio, in a time between late 2008 and early 2009. The track was released on the album xx, which they released in 2009. The idea was to do something without vocals, just instruments, and the work was done between them, with Jamie xx in charge of producing and mixing. The song was made in a studio called XL Studios, which is in the capital. The track is only 28 seconds long, but in that time you can see the foundations of how the group built their sound. The track was used in commercials and programs, and it made it into several charts. The recording featured guitar from two guys, one played keyboards and the other played bass.
