The story behind

The song Into the Groove, with its original title, is a piece that, despite its short duration of just 24 seconds, condenses a particular energy. It is not an extensive composition, but rather a sonic fragment that invites immersion in a contagious rhythm. The artist's name, Adelmo Fornaciari, known worldwide as Zucchero, refers us to a career rich in musical experiences.

Born in Reggio nell'Emilia in 1955, Zucchero has built an impressive career, selling over 50 million records and establishing himself as one of the Italian artists with the widest global reach. His album Oro, incenso e birra held the record for sales in Italian popular music worldwide for a long time, a milestone that speaks to his connection with the public. His presence on historic stages, such as the Live at the Kremlin performance, positioned him as the first Western artist to perform at the Kremlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Furthermore, his inclusion in The Faber Companion to 20th Century Popular Music in 1996 highlighted him as a benchmark of 20th-century modern music. In 1994, he had the distinction of being the only Italian artist to participate in the Woodstock Festival. Throughout his more than thirty years of career, he has shared projects with an impressive list of international artists, including Joe Cocker, Ray Charles, Sting, Bono, Brian May, Eric Clapton, Peter Gabriel, Solomon Burke, Sérgio Mendes, Sheryl Crow, Mark Knopfler, John Lee Hooker, Miles Davis, and Iggy Pop, among many others.
