The story behind
Historia de un amor, according to DoReSol
The interpretation of Historia de un amor by Luis Miguel for the album Segundo romance is one of those pieces that invite you to close your eyes and feel every nuance. The singer's voice glides with a softness that seems to caress the melody, building an intimate and nostalgic atmosphere. What's interesting about this version is how it manages to capture the essence of the original ballad, but injects it with that characteristic warmth of Luis Miguel, making every note breathe a particular emotion. The duration of the piece, 3:52, is perfect for immersing yourself in the story it tells without feeling rushed.
This track was part of Segundo romance, released in 1994, which was the natural continuation of his successful Romance from 1991. For Segundo romance, eleven versions of Latin ballads published between 1934 and 1993 were gathered. The recording took place in mid-1994 at Record Plant studios in Los Angeles, California. Juan Carlos Calderón, Kiko Cibrián, and Armando Manzanero, who had already collaborated on the previous album, participated in the production. The mixing was handled by Craig Brock and Paul McKenna. After its release, Luis Miguel promoted this album with a tour that traveled through the United States and Latin America.
