The story behind

Hear Me, according to DoReSol

There's something in the way *Hear Me* unfolds that invites attention. It's not just a melody, but a sonic construction that envelops you. The song, which originally was part of Imagine Dragons' second EP, Hell And Silence, was later reworked and polished for their first studio album, Night Visions. When the band began performing it live, especially during the Night Visions Tour, it became a key piece of their opening sets, even having its television premiere in early 2012 on PBS Vegas In Tune. The version we hear today, with a runtime of 3:55, is the result of that evolution, with mixing by Josh Mosser and production by the band itself.

The path of *Hear Me* to the public was an extended process. It was released as the lead single from the album Night Visions in Europe and Ireland on November 24, 2012, a strategic move given that "It's Time" had not yet been released there. The song also found its place on the soundtrack of the 2011 film, Answers to Nothing, and had occasional appearances on the MTV reality show, The Real World: Las Vegas. Interestingly, instead of a traditional music video, the band opted for a lyric video uploaded to YouTube on November 12, 2012. This video stood out for incorporating images shared by fans on Instagram, showing how the community interpreted the song's lyrics through their own photos. It was a second fan co-production experiment, following the example of a previous video. The idea of capturing concert energy in this type of video would later inspire the creation of the music video for "Demons".
