The story behind
Lali wrote Fanático for her sixth album, No vayas a atender cuando el demonio llama, released in 2025. The song blends pop, pop rock and alternative rock, and talks about love, hate, obsession and fanaticism. She recorded it with Martín D'Agosto, Mauro De Tommaso, BB Asul, Juan Giménez Kuj and Don Barreto, and the production was done by De Tommaso and Barreto. Released as a single in September 2024, it reached fifth place on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100, becoming her best position so far. It was certified platinum by CAPIF and won three Gardel Awards, including the award for song of the year.
The song became a point of political discussion. After the 2023 elections, Lali criticized the result on Twitter, which generated reactions from Milei's followers. At the Cosquín Rock festival, she modified the lyrics of ¿Quiénes son? to respond to comments from the president. Later, she published an open letter to Milei, talking about her career and criticizing the unfair perception of her industry. The conflict was compared to others between artists and politicians, like Trump and Swift, or Bolsonaro and Pabllo Vittar. A Spotify poster with her image was vandalized with political symbols, which generated speculation about her connection with Milei.
