The story behind
En remolinos, according to DoReSol
Soda Stereo crafted «En remolinos» as a bridge between two worlds: on one hand, the calm of a verse that promises to flourish, and on the other, the noise that sustains it. The song opens with layers of synthesizers intertwining in a dense atmosphere, almost as if the air itself were spinning. When Gustavo Cerati's guitar enters, the track already has a texture unlike anything the band had recorded before: it's not just the melody that matters, but how that riff repeats at the end, just before the song glides into «Primavera 0». There's something in that transition—a sharp crossing between the lyrical and the instrumental—that makes the listener feel like they're hearing a dream reluctant to awaken.
The album where it was trapped, Dynamo, was recorded at Estudio Supersónico in Buenos Aires during 1992, amid a year Cerati described as intense and full of personal changes. The lyrics, which speak of finding perfection amid the storm, reflect that state: there's none of the urgency of Canción Animal, nor the pop synthesis of their early albums, but an exploration where noise and shoegazing blend with unexpected clarity. The song lasts 4:38 and, unlike other tracks on the album, is often performed live alongside «Primavera 0», except during tours like Comfort or Música para volar. In fact, the only official live version on record is from the Gira Me Verás Volver, though unofficial recordings exist from performances at the Poliedro de Caracas or the Teatro Gran Rex, where the song was even adapted for the Séptimo Día - No Descansaré show by Cirque du Soleil.
