The story behind
El jardín donde vuelan los mares, according to DoReSol
With a duration of almost six minutes, The Garden Where the Seas Fly unfolds as an extensive piece within the universe of Fito Páez. This song, part of the album Circo Beat released in 1994, distances itself from the more radio-friendly tracks that propelled the album, such as Mariposa tecknicolor or Tema de Piluso, to offer a more immersive sonic experience. The album itself, which became the second best-selling in Páez's career and one of the most successful of 1995 in Argentina, had the particularity of featuring production by Phil Manzanera, known for his work with Roxy Music and in later stages of Pink Floyd.
Circo Beat consolidated Fito Páez's international projection, following the massive success of El amor después del amor. Although Circo Beat did not reach the stratospheric figures of its predecessor, it did manage to sell a considerable number of copies, positioning itself as a milestone in the discography of the Rosario musician. Manzanera's production brought a particular vision to the album's sound, creating an interesting context for songs like El jardín donde vuelan los mares, which invites a deeper and more detailed listening.
