The story behind

Don’t Panic, according to DoReSol

When you immerse yourself in *Don't Panic*, you encounter an atmosphere that invites you to pay attention to details. The song, with a duration of 2 minutes and 17 seconds, feels like a piece that unfolds calmly, inviting reflection. It is one of the tracks that were part of Coldplay's first studio album, titled Parachutes. This work, released in the United Kingdom on July 10, 2000, and in the United States on November 7 of the same year, marked the band's debut on the music scene.

The production of Parachutes was a joint effort between Ken Nelson and the band, although the song *High Speed* had a different approach, being produced solely by Chris Allison. *Don't Panic* was one of the four singles that emerged from this album, along with *Shiver*, *Yellow*, and *Trouble*. Interestingly, the release of *Don't Panic* as a single was limited to Europe. To support the release of Parachutes, Coldplay embarked on a tour between 2000 and 2001. The album had a very positive reception and became a commercial success, reaching number one on the UK charts and achieving multiple platinum certifications. The recording featured the participation of engineers such as Simon “Barny” Barnicott, Jon Coles, Ken Nelson, Paul Read, and Andrea Wright, while the mixing was handled by Michael Brauer.
