Brugal mix

The story behind

Daddy Yankee released Brugal mix as part of his album El cangri.com, launched in 2002. The song was recorded in collaboration with Nicky Jam, and has a fast tempo, typical of reguetón. The blend of sounds and Daddy Yankee's style make it stand out. The track lasts just over a minute and a half, but in that time it packs an energy that makes it unique. The Brugal mix version was included on the album, which had two editions: one white for Puerto Rico and another colorless for the United States. The album was mainly produced by DJ Blass, who was key to the reguetón scene at the time.
