Amor clandestino

Natalia Lafourcade recorded Amor clandestino in an analog studio, with eighteen live musicians and no digital retouching. The result is a track that exudes organic warmth, where each instrument sounds as if it were captured in a single take. Lafourcade's voice intertwines with arrangements that seem improvised, yet are carefully woven to convey that sense of intimacy only achieved when music is lived in the moment.The album Cancionera, released in April 2025 by Sony Music Mexico, serves as the backdrop for this encounter. Here, Lafourcade embodies La Cancionera, an alter ego that allows her to explore sounds without constraints.

The recording, completed in three weeks in late 2024, prioritized analog sound and spontaneity over technical perfection. Adán Jodorowsky, who had previously worked with her on De Todas, once again became her collaborator in production, seeking that balance between the artisanal and the emotive that defines the album. Amor clandestino lasts three minutes and fifty-nine seconds, yet within that time lies the urgency of a feeling that cannot wait.
