A Picture of Life

The song A Picture of Life, with its 3 minutes and 44 seconds duration, immerses us in a sound that was gestated with a mix of both current and old technology. Producer Dan Lacksman, known for his work with Telex, was in charge at the Synsound Studio in Brussels in early 1989, collaborating with the German trio Camouflage. This recording process took place at a time when the band enjoyed greater creative freedom, following the previous success of their work.

The album it belongs to, Methods of Silence, released in June 1989 under the Atlantic Records label, reached number 13 on the German charts. One of the singles, Love Is a Shield, had an excellent reception, reaching ninth place on the German charts and twentieth on the Billboard Alternative Airplay in the United States, becoming their most successful track. For the creation of this album, Camouflage established their own workspace, called "Boys Factory 2", near their hometown.
