About the album

View From the Ground, according to DoReSol

The album wasn't a big success, but it did gain some recognition. Two songs became singles: You Can Do Magic reached number eight on the singles chart and number five on adult contemporary, while Right Before Your Eyes (also known as Rudolph Valentino) reached number fourteen and sixteen on adult contemporary. The first stayed on the charts longer, twenty weeks, than any other single by the band.

In the Philippines, Inspector Mills was a local hit and remains one of the most recognized songs there. Although View From the Ground received good reviews for its songs, it was considered a rather polished but not very deep album. Many recommended listening to those singles in compilations.
