Within Raro, two tracks stood out as the main drivers of diffusion: Yendo a la casa de Damián and Ya no sé qué hacer conmigo. Both songs demonstrate remarkable complexity in rhyme handling, one of the distinctive features of this era. While Yendo a la casa de Damián is anchored in rock, Ya no sé qué hacer conmigo ventures into a fusion of milonga and son. A particular sonic detail is found in Autos nuevos, where Riki Musso recreates a guitar solo using his own voice. The album had a significant impact in Uruguay, earning seven Graffiti awards, including album of the year and song of the year, in addition to being nominated for Latin Grammy Awards for Yendo a la casa de Damián. Sales in Uruguay quickly surpassed 2000 copies, earning it gold record certification, and by August of that same year, it reached 4000 units, obtaining platinum record status.
The live presentation of Raro began on June 24, 2006, at the Cine Teatro Plaza in Montevideo. The show included the performance of most of the album's songs, complemented by audiovisual interludes where Roberto Musso introduced different "rare people" who connected with the album's concept, through images that were prototypes of the cover art. The promotional tour, known as El Tour Raro, extended between 2006 and 2009, consolidating the band's popularity in Argentina and expanding to other Latin American and European stages. It was a key period for their international growth, with performances at festivals like Rock al Parque in Colombia and Vive Latino in Mexico, and playing in important venues like Razzmatazz in Barcelona and the Explanada Sur of the Estadio Monumental in Lima, Peru. In 2021, a limited vinyl edition was released to commemorate the album's 15th anniversary, available in Mexico and Argentina.
