The album was recorded over two months, between August and September 1986. The producer, Patricio Rey, worked with two types of sound: one more pop and one more dark. The band used electric bass, keyboards and percussion that gave a strange touch. Songs like Fuegos de octubre or Música para pastillas had simple structures at first, but later filled up with guitar solos and saxophone. The sound engineer, Ovel Costa, gave the album a reverb that made it sound more enveloping. The cover design, done by Rocambole, also had a conceptual touch, as if it were a tribute to historical struggles.
