About the album
Mentira la verdad, according to DoReSol
The first single, Vivamos el momento, made a strong impact on Spotify and ended up taking them to open for Guns N' Roses in Buenos Aires as part of their Not in This Lifetime... tour. The Argentine band not only sold out River Plate for two consecutive nights but also caught the attention of the American musicians, who praised their live power. That same year, they closed the cycle with another milestone: they reopened Obras Sanitarias after seven years without concerts. But the album wasn’t just about commercial success: in 2017, they took an unexpected turn with La luz perpetua, a symphonic show at Usina del Arte where they blended their songs with classical music and tango. The experiment worked so well that they repeated it at Luna Park, this time with sold-out tickets and the name Sinfónico ultra. They were also chosen by Bon Jovi to open their shows at Vélez Sarfield and played five Fridays in a row at Teatro Vorterix, something rare in the local scene.
Among the tracks that resonated the most are Cicatrices and Culpables, but the album itself is a whole where each song has its moment. The curious thing is that the official press presentation was on September 15, and the next day it was already in stores with a signing at Musimundo in Callao y Corrientes. Fans camped out overnight, and the musicians, in a gesture that went viral, brought them pizzas at midnight. They didn’t aim to sound like anyone else, but ended up sounding like themselves, with an album that cemented their place in Argentine rock in recent years.
