This album stands out for being the first to feature external collaborations, including the participation of Enanitos Verdes on the track Volver a casa (Coming home). Throughout its journey, Al parecer todo ha sido una trampa presents songs like Como un diamante (Like a diamond), Perdido (Lost), and Pensamientos (Thoughts), in addition to exploring more complex narratives in titles such as Intoxicarme (To intoxicate myself), Jinetes cromados (Chrome riders), and Mila, Saturno y el río (Mila, Saturn, and the river).
The official presentation of the album took place at the Teatro Gran Rex during November 2021, spanning several dates, and the band planned an international tour for 2022, closing the year with a show at the Estadio Obras.
The gestation of Al parecer todo ha sido una trampa was marked by Airbag's constant activity. After the tour for Mentira la verdad, in mid-2018, they began recording new material, releasing previews such as Como un diamante and Así de fácil (So easy). In 2019, they continued the recording process and released singles like Über Puber and Perdido, in addition to opening for Muse in front of a large audience at the Hipódromo de Palermo. The year 2020 found them on important stages like Cosquín Rock and festivals such as Lollapalooza Argentina and Asunciónico. The COVID-19 pandemic, while delaying release plans, spurred the creation of the live show series on Youtube and Twitch called "Airbag Live Show," and during the quarantine, they continued composing and recording, even premiering Mila, Saturno y el Río in a streaming show. In 2021, prior to the album's release, they shared a cover of La Renga's La balada del diablo y la muerte (The ballad of the devil and death), celebrating the 25th anniversary of Despedazado por mil partes (Torn apart by a thousand pieces).
