About the album
La Biblia, according to DoReSol
The album was put together as the recording progressed. Songs like Génesis, which was the first to be completed and was already played live, or Las guerras, are examples of this working method. The magnitude of the project and the demands of simultaneous recording generated internal tensions, especially between Soulé and Godoy, who finally left the band at the end of the sessions. Jorge Álvarez's production aimed to capture the essence of these biblical narratives with a musical direction that combined psychedelic guitars, powerful solos, and acoustic passages, with vocal harmonies that evoked bands like The Moody Blues.
The album's release was not without its setbacks. The label Disc Jockey, which took over the tapes after Mandioca's bankruptcy, rushed the vinyl pressing before the recording was finished. This resulted in the unfinished edition of Apocalipsis and a confusion on the cover, where Libros Sapienciales was mistakenly identified as Profecías. Despite these details, the work was presented with several shows at the Teatro Presidente Alvear and a tour across the country. Even the Catholic Church, after reviewing the lyrics, ended up recommending the album to young people. A later version, titled La Biblia En Vivo, released in 1987, clarified and corrected some of these aspects.
