Fina estampa

Caetano Veloso took Fina estampa and put it to dance to the rhythm of bossa nova. The song, written in 1956 by Chabuca Granda, was a Peruvian waltz that spoke about the elegance of the clothing of the bourgeoisie at the end of the last century. He first sang it in 1961, on an album by Los Cinco, and later reinterpreted it in 1973 on his album *Grande de América*.That same song, along with two others, became part of the repertoire of artists around the world. The Spanish María Dolores Pradera popularized it internationally, and also sang it Libertad Lamarque, Edith Barr, Nati Mistral, Fito Páez, and even Celia Cruz in a salsa version.
