The story behind
This song doesn't sound like anything Indio Solari and Los Fundamentalistas del Aire Acondicionado have recorded before. It's like a dialogue between two voices chasing each other, one deeper and the other higher-pitched, overlapping without ever losing the rhythm. The lyrics play with images of shadows and echoes, as if someone were telling a story from the other side of a mirror. The air grows dense, not because of the weight of the words, but due to how the bass and drums intertwine in a rhythm that never fully resolves, as if time itself were trapped in a loop.
They recorded it in 2014, just when Solari —credited as The Blind Snooper— decided to call back old companions from Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota: Semilla Bucciarelli, Sergio Dawi and Walter Sidotti. They hadn't shared a studio since the band split, and the result sounds like a forced musical reunion, not a nostalgic one. The album Pajaritos, bravos muchachitos premiered with a show at the Hipódromo, but this song in particular stood out as a separate moment, almost like a coded message for those who could decipher it. Even the Premios Gardel took notice, nominating the album in the category of best rock artist.
