To the birds that sing over the jungles of the Internet doesn’t sound like just any song by Indio Solari and his band. It begins with an air between mysterious and urgent, as if someone had plugged a microphone into a digital forest where the birds aren’t birds at all, but bits scattered between servers. The rhythm moves in circles, but it’s not a perfect loop: there’s a sway that never quite fits, as if the song were breathing in a meter that refuses to be tamed. Solari’s voice, always teetering between narrative and dreamlike, flows over that uneven base without ever losing the thread, as if he knew exactly where he was headed even if the path wasn’t straight.Recorded in Argentina during the sessions for Pajaritos, bravos muchachitos, this track closes the album with an unexpected wink.

It’s not the first time Solari has turned to collaborations, but here the reunion carries a different weight: Semilla Bucciarelli, Sergio Dawi, and Walter Sidotti, old companions from Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, appear in the credits as guests on the final track. The album, released in 2014, reached listeners’ hands with a nomination for the Premios Gardel in the category of “Best Rock Artist Album.” Its live debut took place at the Hipódromo, a venue that had hosted other bands before, but that night became the perfect stage for Solari—billing himself as El Fisgón Ciego—to close the album with a piece that, more than a song, feels like a message cast into the air of the web.
