The story behind
The song Tumbas de la gloria, born from the pen and piano of Fito Páez, immerses us in a narrative that evokes powerful images. With a duration of 4 minutes and 34 seconds, this musical piece invites reflection through its composition. The mixing work for this piece fell to Carlos Narea, Fito Páez, and Nigel Walker, who worked to shape its characteristic sound.
Rodolfo Fito Páez, originally from Rosario and born in 1963, is a central figure in Argentine music, recognized for his contribution to the Trova rosarina and for being one of the leading figures of rock in his country. His career, spanning over three decades, includes about twenty studio albums, as well as live works, compilations, and collaborations. After an initial phase of critical recognition, his international projection was consolidated in the early nineties with albums like El amor después del amor (1992) and Circo beat (1994), which achieved notable commercial success, selling over a million copies combined. Throughout his career, Fito Páez has been awarded on multiple occasions, including five Latin Grammy Awards. He obtained the first two in the year 2000, one for "best male rock singer" for his album Abre (1999) and another for the song Al lado del camino. Subsequently, between 2007 and 2009, he received three consecutive Grammy Awards in different categories. The Konex Foundation also recognized his work, awarding him the Konex Platinum Award in 1995 as "best rock composer of the decade in Argentina".
