The story behind
Tombstone, according to DoReSol
The song *Tombstone* by Crowded House, with a duration of 3 minutes and 30 seconds, emerges from the creative mind of Neil Finn, who composed both the music and the lyrics. This piece, produced by Mitchell Froom, is part of the group's self-titled debut album, released in 1986 under the Capitol/EMI label.
The origin of Crowded House dates back to 1984, following the dissolution of Split Enz. Neil Finn and drummer Paul Hester decided to embark on a new musical path. It was in Melbourne, during the farewell tour of Split Enz, that Nick Seymour approached Finn with the proposal to join his project. Initially, the band was known as "The Mullanes" and even featured guitarist Craig Hooper from The Reels. However, before signing with Capitol Records, Hooper left the group. Crowded House, as a band, was active between 1986 and 1996, and had a comeback in 2007.
