The story behind
The song *Todo sigue igual* has a duration of 5 minutes and 16 seconds, and its music was composed by Jorge Luis Borrego. This piece is part of an album that marked a turning point in the career of Alejandro Sanz, allowing him to achieve national recognition. At that time, Sanz signed his compositions under the pseudonym A. Medina, a name he had already used at the beginning of his career. From this same record work, singles were released that resonated strongly in Spain, such as *Los Dos Cogidos de la Mano* and *Pisando Fuerte*, both accompanied by music videos. Other songs that were also well-received on the radio were *Se Le Apagó la Luz* and *Lo Que Fui Es lo Que Soy*.
Alejandro Sánchez Pizarro, known artistically as Alejandro Sanz, was born in Madrid in 1968. Throughout his career, he has sold over 25 million records and has been awarded 17 Latin Grammy awards and three Anglo Grammys. His father was originally from Algeciras and his mother from Alcalá de los Gazules. Sanz is the nephew of Luis Pizarro, a political figure. He was born in the Pueblo Nuevo neighborhood in Madrid and, at the age of eight, moved to Moratalaz, where he studied. During his period of greatest artistic projection, he lived with his parents in the "Osa Menor" urbanization, on Avenida del Doctor García Tapia, where neighbors organized meetings to get autographs. He spent many summers in Alcalá de los Gazules, his mother's hometown. In 2015, Sanz released the album *Sirope*, which fuses pop and rock elements.
