The story behind
The symphonic version of Tan Enamorados is surprising because it takes a classic theme and dresses it in a new skin without losing its essence. Montaner and the London Metropolitan Orchestra gave it an unexpected twist: the orchestral arrangements not only accompany but also redraw every phrase, as if the song had been waiting for that moment to reveal hidden nuances. The result is not a simple remix with strings, but a reinterpretation where the piano and winds dialogue with the voice, creating layers that in the original version remained in the background. What stands out most is how the already familiar theme gains depth without losing its intimacy, as if every note of the orchestra had been crafted for it.
This album, Con la London Metropolitan Orchestra, was recorded in London during 1999 and released in August of that year under the WEA Latina label. Montaner not only chose songs from his repertoire to reinterpret but also adjusted some lyrics to better fit the new sound. The unreleased track "El poder de tu amor" slipped in among the classics, but it was Tan Enamorados that ended up standing out: with a duration of 4 minutes and 20 seconds, the song found in the orchestra the perfect ally to sound grander without losing its romantic essence.
