The story behind
The song Swing, by Danny Ocean, was conceived as part of his first studio album, titled 54+1, which was released to the public on March 22, 2019. This work, which the Venezuelan artist himself produced in its entirety, was recorded with the collaboration of several sound professionals. The final mixing and mastering were carried out in Miami, at the World Class Mastering studios, under the charge of Ricardo Sangiao. For the composition of Swing, Danny Ocean worked alongside Carlos Ramírez as co-author. The creative process of the album, of which this piece is a part, began in June 2017, shortly after the artist signed with Warner Music Group.
The sound that defines 54+1, and therefore Swing, draws from genres such as Dancehall and Latin Pop, with touches of Reggaeton, Reggae, and Urban music. The sound engineering involved the participation of figures such as Chris Gehringer from Sterling Sound, in addition to Delbert Bowers, Gonzalo Contreras, and Carlos Escalona. The duration of Swing is 2 minutes and 35 seconds, a concise format that encapsulates the album's musical proposal.
