The story behind

Gustavo Cerati, Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti crafted a soundscape that almost feels like a ritual: Sweet sahumerio doesn’t sound like a conventional rock song. The title already hints that there’s more than just lyrics and chords: "sweet" in English and "sahumerio" in Spanish blend to evoke something both sweet and ceremonial at the same time. On the album Dynamo, the track floats between ethereal percussion and a murmur that seems to come from afar, as if someone were whispering from the other side of a lit incense burner. It’s not a song that hits you with powerful riffs or catchy choruses; instead, it wraps you in layers of sound that overlap until they create a hypnotic atmosphere. Charly Alberti doesn’t just play the drums here: he uses percussion instruments that give it that ritualistic air, and at some point, a voice slips in that sounds like a call from another plane. The lyrics, if you can even follow them, seem to describe someone in a state between meditation and trance, as if the music itself were the incense burner transporting them.
