The story behind
When Lenny Kravitz went to record Supersoulfighter, the process had an air of a gathering. The song, which lasts 4:59, was conceived in his New York studio, a space that was then filled with unexpected visitors. Imagine Madonna, Chris Rock, Bobby Brown, Marilyn Manson, and Gwen Stefani dropping by while Kravitz worked on the foundations. The subsequent sessions moved to The Bahamas, specifically to Compass Point Studios, where engineer Terry Manning also handled the mixing.
