The story behind
Sueños del 95, according to DoReSol
When Aterciopelados released El Dorado in 1995, they not only presented their second studio work, but also laid the groundwork for a sound that would resonate in Spanish rock. The recording took place at Audiovisión, in Bogotá, under the production of Federico López. This album, released by Sony BMG on October 24 of that year, became a turning point, being recognized by critics as one of the most significant works in the genre.
The impact of El Dorado transcended borders, leading Aterciopelados to broader recognition. The magazine Al Borde, in 2006, included it in its list of the 250 most important albums of Ibero-American rock, highlighting its relevance. From this album also comes Bolero Falaz, one of their most celebrated compositions. The track Sueños del 95, with a duration of 3 minutes and 12 seconds, is part of this fundamental work that defined a stage for the band and for music in Colombia.
