The story behind

The song Subway, with its 4 minutes and 24 seconds duration, is taken from the album Children of the World by The Bee Gees. This work, released in 1976, marked a turning point, being the first to feature the production team of Gibb, Galuten, and Richardson, who would forge a prolific collaboration in the years to come. Many see in this album a preview of the group's foray into the world of disco music, which would reach its peak the following year with their prominent participation in the soundtrack of The Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack.

The Bee Gees, formed in 1958 by brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, were born on the Isle of Man and spent their early years in Manchester, England, before moving to Australia in the late 1950s. It was in Redcliffe, Queensland, where they began their musical journey, achieving their first hit on the Australian charts with Spicks and Specks. After returning to the United Kingdom in 1967, under the promotion of Robert Stigwood, their music began to resonate globally. The group was characterized by its distinctive three-part vocal harmonies, with Robin's sharp vibrato and Barry's falsetto, who composed and produced all their hits, as well as creating songs for other artists.
