Somos muchos

Somos muchos sounds like broadband and a collective voice. It's not a background track: it grabs you from the first chord and doesn't let go until the last note fades away. There's something in its rhythm that won't stay still, as if the bass and percussion are always one step ahead, dragging the rest along without losing the cadence. The guitar, for its part, weaves melodies that seem made to hum in a group, as if the song already came with a chorus included.

This album, La Dulzura, was released in 2010 under their own label, La Mafafa, after the band tried their luck with traditional labels without finding a deal that suited them. Rodríguez said that the record companies were going through tough times and that they preferred to take the risk on their own. Many of the songs, including this one, were born during a tour that started in 2007 and lasted long enough for each track to be refined on stage. Before its official release, the band was uploading songs online, and Somos muchos was one of those that people started requesting even before it was in stores.
