The story behind
When Ricardo Montaner set out to record his eighth album, titled Viene del alma, released in 1995, he sought a sonic path different from what the public was accustomed to. This album, in particular, stands out for its marked Italian influence and notable experimentation in its lyrics and musical style. The song *Si enfermase el tiempo*, with a duration of 4 minutes and 18 seconds, emerges from this stage of the artist's exploration, presenting a sound that departs from his previous works, but at the same time retains that essence that characterizes him.
From this record production, which Ricardo Montaner defined as the most different of his career, several songs were released that resonated with the audience, including Viene del alma, Soy tuyo, Pasa todo, and Bórrame. The intention behind Viene del alma seems to have been to offer something fresh and novel, a unique sound that broke with the pre-established, and *Si enfermase el tiempo* is a clear example of this search for new musical horizons.
