The story behind
Senda, according to DoReSol
The song Senda by Héroes del Silencio, with its duration of 3:54, emerges from a crucial moment for the band. After their first album, El mar no cesa, which gave them a great boost in their country, the musicians felt that the sound did not fully capture the energy they displayed in their live performances. Seeking a way to better convey that power, they embarked on recording their second work, Senderos de Traición.
This album was created in the Kirios studios in Madrid, under the direction of Phil Manzanera as producer, and with the support of Sound & Management from Zurich. The task of giving the final shape to the sound fell to Keith Bessey, who handled the mixing at Metropolis Studios in London. The result was an album that many described as introspective, blending elements of gothic rock, pop, and hard rock, and which resonated in specialized publications that saw in it influences from bands like The Cult and The Mission. Senderos de Traición became their first album to reach number one in Spain, marking a milestone in their career.
