The story behind

The piece titled Sea of Monsters, with a duration of 3:39, is part of the album Yellow Submarine, released in January 1969. This work was conceived as a sonic accompaniment to an animated film of the same name, whose premiere took place in London in June 1968. Within this record, six compositions correspond to The Beatles. Two of them, Yellow Submarine and All You Need Is Love, had already been previously released as singles. The first, Yellow Submarine, was originally included in the 1966 album Revolver, while All You Need Is Love appeared as a single in June 1967 and was later integrated into the American album Magical Mystery Tour. The rest of the content of the album Yellow Submarine consists of a new recording of the film's orchestral soundtrack, made by George Martin.

The Beatles, an English rock band active during the 1960s, established themselves as one of the most successful and acclaimed in the history of popular music. Emerging from Liverpool, the lineup that was established in 1962 consisted of John Lennon on rhythm guitar and vocals, Paul McCartney on bass and vocals, George Harrison on lead guitar and vocals, and Ringo Starr on drums and vocals. Their early musical influences were nourished by the skiffle and rock and roll of the fifties, but over time they explored a wide range of genres, from pop ballads to psychedelic rock, integrating classical elements in an innovative way. The band evolved from the euphoria of "Beatlemania" towards more complex compositions, coming to be seen as a reflection of progressive ideals and exerting a notable influence on the social and cultural transformations of the sixties. Initially, the band had five members: Lennon, McCartney, Harrison, Stuart Sutcliffe on bass, and Pete Best on drums. For three years starting in 1960, they forged their reputation in the clubs of Liverpool and Hamburg. Sutcliffe left the group in 1961 and Best was replaced by Starr the following year. After being managed by Brian Epstein, they consolidated as a professional group.
