The story behind

Please Be With Me, according to DoReSol

The song Please Be With Me by Eric Clapton, with a duration of 3:26, is featured on the album 461 Ocean Boulevard.

This record marked Clapton's return to the recording studio after a three-year period. The address that gives the album its title, in Golden Beach, Florida, was the place where Clapton resided while this work was being created. After finishing the recording, Clapton and Robert Stigwood, who led RSO Records, suggested that same house and the nearby Criteria Studios in Miami to the Bee Gees, who were also part of the label. The Bee Gees moved there to compose and record their album Main Course.

Eric Clapton, born in Ripley, Surrey, England, on March 30, 1945, is a renowned figure for his skill with the electric guitar, particularly his Stratocaster. Throughout his career, he has been known by nicknames such as "Slowhand" since his time with The Yardbirds, and "God" during his stint with Cream. His influence spans multiple genres, from blues rock with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and The Yardbirds, through psychedelic rock with Cream, to exploring Delta blues in his album Me and Mr. Johnson, pop in his track Change the World, and even reggae. The album 461 Ocean Boulevard was released in late July 1974 by RSO Records, shortly after the success of the hit single I Shot the Sheriff. This record topped various international charts and sold over two million copies. The recording featured engineering by Steve Klein and Karl Richardson, under the production of Tom Dowd.
