Pepperland

The story behind

The Beatles recorded Pepperland as part of the soundtrack of an animated film they presented in London in June 1968. The song is part of the album Yellow Submarine, which was released in January 1969. The idea was to re-record the music of the film, but with a more musical approach, using the work of George Martin as producer. The song has a light rhythm, with instruments that give a sense of travel and fantasy. It is a piece that can be played live, with space for improvisation and feeling the flow of the music. The duration is short, two and a half minutes, but in that time it takes you to another place.
