The story behind

Milton Nascimento and Lô Borges formed Clube da Esquina at a time when Brazilian music was seeking to breathe amid the weight of the 1970s. Recorded between Praia de Piratininga and Estúdios Odeon in November 1971, this double album not only brought together two distinct voices but also wove a sound that shifted between MPB, baroque pop, and flashes of jazz. O trem azul is one of those songs that anchors the entire universe: its melody, which sways between the intimate and the epic, seems to depict a train journey that moves forward without haste but without pause.
