The story behind
When Enrique Iglesias released Sex and Love, his tenth studio album, in March 2014, he already had several Spanish-language hits to his name that had topped the charts. However, the story of Noche y de día, which arrived as the eighth and final single from the album in January 2015, has its own journey. After the great impact of Bailando, it was decided to release another song in Spanish, this time with the participation of Juan Magán and Yandel. The result is a pop track with a moderate rhythm and a danceable sound with electronic touches, which in its album version was titled Noche y día.
The visual production of Noche y de día was handled by the same team that brought the video for Bailando to life. The clip's narrative takes us to Galicia, where two young people arrive by helicopter at a club owned by Yandel, who performs on the main stage before an energetic crowd. Juan Magán joins him, and later, Enrique Iglesias appears in a vacant lot, meeting the young women. Towards the end, the three artists converge, closing the story with the helicopter's departure. This video has surpassed 160 million views on YouTube. Regarding its chart performance, the song reached fifth place in Spain and twenty-seventh on the Hot Latin Songs chart in the United States. Additionally, it obtained a double platinum certification in Spain and gold in Italy.
