The story behind

The song No seré, with a duration of 2 minutes and 57 seconds, is from the album Limón y sal, the fourth studio work by Julieta Venegas. This album, released in May 2006 in Mexico, Spain, and Latin America, and a few days later in the United States, had a notable reception in European markets such as Germany, Belgium, Portugal, and Austria, even reaching the top sales positions in Switzerland and Italy. The success of Limón y sal translated into impressive figures, selling over 8 million copies worldwide, earning it platinum records in countries like Argentina, Spain, Mexico, and the United States, as well as gold records in Chile, Italy, and Colombia, among others. The production was recognized with a Latin Grammy Award in the Alternative Music category and, the following year, with a Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album. Julieta Venegas, born in Long Beach, California, in 1970, is a key figure in Latin music. Before starting her solo career in 1996, she was part of the band Tijuana No!, where she co-wrote their best-known song. Her solo path began with the support of Café Tacuba, releasing her first album, Aquí, in 1997, followed by Bueninvento in 2000, both produced by Gustavo Santaolalla and well-received by critics. It was with in 2003 that she achieved greater projection in Latin America and Spain. The recording of Limón y sal involved a team of recording engineers such as Juan Blas Caballero, Ignacio Castro, Damián Nava, and Pablo López Ruiz, while the mixing was handled by César Sogbe.
