The story behind
Ñero, according to DoReSol
The song Ñero by Molotov, which lasts 3:27, is part of Apocalypshit, the band's second studio album. This work, released in 1999, featured production by Mario Caldato Jr., who had previously worked with the Beastie Boys on their album Hello Nasty. Unlike the previous album, where Gustavo Santaolalla had a role, on Apocalypshit the production work fell entirely to Mario Caldato Jr. The album explores a variety of styles, moving between alternative metal, heavy metal, and Spanish rock.
At the time of its release, Apocalypshit managed to reach number 32 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. A week after its release, it also appeared on music charts in Spain. The mixing and production of the album were handled by Mario Caldato Jr., consolidating a sound that stands out in Molotov's career.
