The story behind

Nada detiene el amor en un lugar, according to DoReSol

When Fito Páez released Circo Beat in 1994, he was already an established name in the Argentine music scene. This album, his eighth studio work, became a milestone, achieving significant sales and ranking as the third best-selling album in Argentina in 1995, with around 350,000 units. Although it did not match the stratospheric figures of its predecessor, El amor después del amor, Circo Beat proved to be an important commercial success in the career of the musician from Rosario. The production of this album was led by Phil Manzanera, a renowned figure for his work with bands like Roxy Music and his time with Pink Floyd.

Several singles from Circo Beat resonated strongly on the radio, such as Mariposa tecknicolor and Tema de Piluso. The latter, in particular, was a heartfelt tribute to the late comedian from Rosario, Alberto Olmedo. The career of Fito Páez, originally from Rosario and part of the Trova rosarina, is marked by a prolific career spanning over 30 years and two dozen studio albums, as well as other formats. His international projection solidified in the early 1990s, and Circo Beat was a key part of that momentum, further cementing his recognition with multiple awards, including several Latin Grammy Awards and the Konex Platinum Prize.
