The story behind
Meditando, according to DoReSol
The song “Meditando,” which lasts 3 minutes and 10 seconds, invites us into a unique sonic space within Al Bano and Romina Power’s discography. This Italian duo, formed in 1975, built a career defined by romantic pop, and although “Meditando” isn’t explicitly mentioned among their best-known hits like “Diálogo” or “Felicità,” it is part of a musical universe that resonated strongly in various parts of the world.
The duo, consisting of Albano Carrisi and Romina Francesca Power, not only conquered Italy but also expanded their reach to countries such as Germany, Austria, France, and Eastern European nations, in addition to maintaining a strong presence in Spain and Latin America. Much of this success was due to the fact that many of their songs were also recorded in Spanish. Their artistic career included appearances at major festivals such as Eurovision and Sanremo, where they achieved notable victories. The album *Felicità*, released in 1982, is an example of this period; in markets such as Germany, Italy, and Hungary, it was known under the title *Aria Pura*, while in the Soviet Union it was released as *Al Bano E Romina Power*.
