The story behind
Sharazan, according to DoReSol
The song *Sharazan* is one of the tunes that Al Bano and Romina Power composed together. The duo, formed in 1975 by Italian singer-songwriter Albano Carrisi and American actress Romina Francesca Power, made a name for themselves in romantic pop, creating songs that resonated in several countries. Their music, often recorded in Spanish as well, allowed them to achieve popularity not only in Italy, Germany, Austria, France, and Eastern Europe, but also in Spain and Latin America.
This song is part of the album *Felicità*, released in 1982. Interestingly, this album had different titles depending on the region: in Germany, Italy, and Hungary, it was known as *Aria Pura*, while in the Soviet Union it was released under the name *Al Bano E Romina Power*. The recorded length of *Sharazan* is 4 minutes and 44 seconds. The duo had an active career, participating in events such as the Eurovision Song Contest and the Sanremo Music Festival, where they won in 1984. Their last joint album was recorded in 1996 and titled *Ancora… Zugabe*.
