The story behind
Within *Luzbelito*, the eighth studio album by Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, released in July 1996, we find the song *¡Me matan Limón!*. This album is presented as a conceptual work that explores the complexities of human beliefs and behavior through the figure of a fictional being. The production of this work demanded more time and the use of several recording studios, including Be Bop in San Pablo, New River, Fort Lauderdale, and El Pie in Buenos Aires.
Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota, originally from La Plata and led by Carlos Alberto Indio Solari and Skay Beilinson, forged a distinctive sound in Argentine rock. Their musical proposal was characterized by creative instrumentals, with a prominent guitar weaving riffs and solos, complemented by a unique voice and the incorporation of other instruments such as saxophone, violin, or piano. The band built its path independently, avoiding official circuits and traditional media, basing its growth on word-of-mouth promotion. The lyrics of their songs were often nourished by metaphors, and their aesthetic was reinforced by a mysticism present in their graphic works and an avant-garde stage presence. *¡Me matan Limón!* has a duration of 3 minutes and 35 seconds.
